The Mics Uncut Muse Award
The Muse Award was established in 2018 by Mics Uncut Producer & Host Mary Givens. It is an honor bestowed upon only previous Mics Uncut guests that commemorates the ability, sacrifice and humanity of this often overlooked population. The Muse is awarded to one guest from each season of Mics Uncut who demonstrates exceptional capability and extraordinary sacrifice.
To be chosen as the recipient of The Muse, each guest is evaluated on the following criteria:
(1) Level of talent/skill in their respectable craft ✔️
• As demonstrated by review of materials i.e. books, CD’s, etc. and community accolades, as well as, awards, reviews, etc.
(2) Amount of sacrifice ✔️
• Measurable and qualitative elements executed to achieve one’s goals
